The Eagles - The Long Run - 1979 - This is the only Eagles album I own and it isn't all that great. In the City is pretty good though.
The Eastern Dark - Long Live the New Flesh - 1986 - This is the bass player from the Celibate Rifles's new solo band. It is ok but nowhere near as good as the Rifles were.
The Easybeats - The Best of the Easybeats - 1985 - The Easybeats were a really cool 60s band. This includes all their big songs, Friday on My Mind, Sorry, Gonna Have a Good Time Tonight. Their younger brothers went on to form AC/DC.
Ebn Ozn - Feeling Cavalier - 1984 - 80s new wave. Besides AEIOU Sometimes Y this album totally sucks.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Rescue/Simple Stuff Single - 1980 - Track from Crocodiles and a really simple song on the b-side. This one might even feature Echo (a drum machine they used before they got a drummer.)
Echo and the Bunnymen - Crocodiles - 1980 - This is my favorite Echo album. It has a lot of that 60s psychedelic sound. The songs are all pretty great.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Heaven Up There - 1981 - Not as good as the previous one. Over the Wall and Heaven Up There are pretty good.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Porcupine - 1983 - They have expanded their sound a little with some more acoustic and an open sound.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Echo and the Bunnymen EP - 1983 - Some of the best songs from Porcupine and a cool live version of Do It Clean.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Seven Seas EP - 1984 - A couple really cool acoustic versions of some of their early songs and a version of All You Need Is Love.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain - 1984 - The songs get more ambitious here. Great songs like Killing Moon and Seven Seas.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Villiers Terrace/Monkeys Single - 1985 - Two early songs, I believe from BBC radio recordings.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Bring on the Dancing Horses/Over Your Shoulder Single - 1985 - Kind of the end of the line for me. Not very good stuff.
Echo and the Bunnymen - Echo and the Bunnymen - 1987 - This one doesn't have a whole lot of life in it. Lips Like Sugar was a minor hit, but there is not much else on here.
Duane Eddy - Rebel Walk/Because They Are Young Single - Renowned for his twangy guitar instrumentals which all kind of sound like When the Saints Come Marching Home.
Duane Eddy and the Rebels - Some Kind-A Earthquake/First Love, First Tears Single - 1959 - More twangy instrumentals. This single has a picture of the Twangster and an address for the fan club.
8-Eyed Spy - Live - 1981 - Lydia Lunch and her swamp, blues, saxophone band. Pretty cool stuff like covers of Diddy Wah Diddy and Run Through the Jungle.
Einsturzende Neubauten - Drawings of O.T.- 1983 - Wow, this is intense stuff. Banging on all kinds of stuff, screaming, etc. Really cool. One of these songs has an actual chord progression.
Einsturzende Neubauten - 80-83 Strategies Against Architecture - 1984 - A truly astounding band. They make music out of power tools, air conditioner ducts, smashing glass, and even highway underpasses. Totally engrossing and really scary. This is a collection of some their German only releases. One of the songs on here even has a chord progression. The name in German means Collapsing New Buildings.
Einsturzende Neubauten - 2 x 4 - 1984 - A live compilation. The material is ok, but it is not as good as their studio albums.
Einsturzende Neubauten - Schwarz Gebrannnt - This a live cassette. There is absolutely no information about where this was or what is on it. It is pretty good though.
Elastica- Elastica - 1995 - This is really great stuff. It is early 80s girl group new wave in the 90s. You have probably heard Connection. Stutter alone would make this album worth having. The rest of it is pretty good too, like 2:1 and Line Up.
Electric Peace - Rest
in Peace -
Electric Peace - Medieval
Mosquito - I can't remember what this is like. I will update this
later.
The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night/Luvin Single - 1966 - This is their classic song. I have this on a record, but I prefer this version. This single is all scratched up, but this is one of the few cases where surface noise on a record actually seems to add to the song.
The Electric Prunes - Get Me To The World On Time/Are You Lovin' Me More (But Enjoying It Less) Single - 1967 - This is their other only near hit. Not as fuzzed out, but still pretty good.
The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night - 1967 - This is a really great psychedelic band from the 60s. Most of the songs on this really really fuzzed out and really great.
11th Hour - Servation / Faster Than This Single - 1986 - I just uncovered a bunch of singles that I had packed in a box. I can't remember this one. Will update later.
T.S. Eliot - Reading "Four Quartets" - There is nothing more enlightening that the poet reading his own work. This is one of his masterpieces and his cultured English voice really makes an impact.
T.S. Eliot - Reading The Wasteland and Other Poems - 1971 - Very nice readings of The Wasteland, The Hollow Man, Journey of the Magi, and more.
Duke Ellington - The Golden
Duke -
Duke Ellington - Earl
Hines Plays Duke Ellington - These are two double albums by Duke.
Both have lots of the big hits like Sophisticated Lady and Take the 'A'
Train.
Duke Ellington and His Orchestra - At Newport - 1976 - Short, but ok live set of songs.
Endgame - Nothingness / A Process Single - 1982 - Been a while since I have heard this one. It is a local Colorado band (Ft Collins) that I remember was pretty generic gloom and doom type stuff.
End Result - Ward EP- I don't remember what this sounded like. I seem to remember that it was kind of Gothic. I'll update this later.
Enigma - Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! - 1996 - Moderately entertaining new age kind of rock. They actually had a fairly big hit with this one.
Brian Eno - Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) - 1974 - I mainly bought this one because of Bauhaus' cover of Third Uncle. It turned out to be a pretty interesting album. It has that distinctive Eno sound and some nice instrumentation stuff on it.
Brian Eno - Another Green World - 1975 - More ambience and musical instrumentals. Pretty decent.
Enya - The Memory of Trees - 1995 - This is Lindsey's. Some new agey stuff.
Enya - Paint The Sky With Stars - The Best Of Enya - 1997 - This is also Lindsey's.
Roky Erickson and the Resurrectionists - Don't Shake Me Lucifer (Live) Flexi single - 1987(?) - Pretty cool live song that came with the English music magazine Bucketfull of Brains No 19.
Roky Erickson - Gremlins Have Pictures - 1986 - Roxy was the lead singer of the insane 60s 13th Floor Elevators (best remembered for You're Gonna Miss Me). This record is a collection of tracks from 1975-82, much of it is really great, ranging from solo acoustic to full out psychedelic craziness.
Eurythmics - Touch - 1983 - I saw them at Red Rocks. It was pretty cool sitting in the rain and listening to Here Comes the Rain Again.
Everlast - Whitey Ford Sings the Blues Album Sampler - 1998 - Five songs on a cassette sampler that came free with some magazine (AP, I think). Pretty good. Kind of rap, kind of alternative. What It's Like did pretty well for them. Ends is pretty good too.
The Everly Brothers - Heartaches 'n' Harmonies - This one is on a really cool picture disk. Rhino Records had the best 60s reissues. Contains all their great songs from the late 50s.
The Ex - History is What's Happening - 1982 - Pretty cool Dutch punk band. They kind of have that Gang of Four funk sound but harder and more extreme politically.
Exploding White Mice - In A Nest of Vipers EP - 1985 - They get their name from the mice that explode when exposed to loud music in Rock 'n' Roll High School. This is pretty good set of garagey-Ramones like stuff from Australia. They also do a pretty cool cover of Pipeline.
