TIMES & SEASONS: A
Jewish perspective for interfaith couples

Emeth
"Times & Seasons" is an 8-week
discussion group for intermarried couples and those
contemplating interfaith marriage. The program provides
an opportunity for open and frank discussions about
common concerns and issues in interfaith marriage,
including childraising and extended family relationships.
Groups are limited to 8 couples. The program is offered each Fall, Winter & Spring at various Reform congregations. It is sponsored by the Southeast Council of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Fee: $100.00 per couple |
BRIDGE TO THE HOME: A
program designed especially for interfaith families
Sunday mornings, 9:15 a.m. 10:45 a.m.
Sept. 19th May 13th
(approx. twice a month) at Temple Kol Emeth,
plus Family Events
This course is designed for interfaith
couples and families to learn about Jewish home
celebrations and customs. The program consists of Sunday
morning "Parent Sessions", as well as family
holiday celebrations. We will explore the traditions of Shabbat,
Sukkot, Chanukah & Passover and learn how to
bring these special moments into our homes. We will also
focus on creating a Jewish home in the context of the
unique situation of each interfaith family. This program
is a winner of the 1997 "Belin Outreach Awards"
of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations for
innovative Outreach programming. For more information,

PATHWAYS TO THE SYNAGOGUE:
A program for interfaith couples & families

Monthly, September 27th
May 21st at Temple Kol Emeth
NEW this Fall! This program explores the
role of the synagogue and helps interfaith couples become
a part of synagogue life. We will study the traditions of
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Simchat Torah and Purim
and their significance and celebrations in the synagogue.
The class will have the opportunity to learn about the
sanctuary with Cantor Steven Weiss and discuss
spirituality with Rabbi Steve Lebow. We will also focus
on life cycle events and religious education for children.
In addition, there will be opportunities to participate
in holiday celebrations as a class during the program.
