*************
The Present
"Hey Andrew, who's the blond playing the Sailor V game?" Christafer asked his coworker.
"Oh, that's Darien's girlfriend Serena. She comes here just about every day after school, usually before she meet Darien." Andrew replied. "Why do you ask?"
Christafer Diamond had just recently moved to Tokyo and had had started working at Crow Video Games arcade only yesterday.
"Do you think you could introduce me to her?" he asked Andrew
"Sure, I don't see why not." And with that, they both walked over to where Serena was concentrating on her Sailor V game.
"Oh, come on, come on!" she grumbled. "No, no, don't do that! Aaaahhhh, just great, game over." She then threw her hands up in defeat.
"Uh, Serena," Andrew said, "I'd like you to meet Christafer, he works here now. He's new to Tokyo, just moved here last week."
"Hey Andrew!" she smiled at Andrew, then turned to look at Christafer.
"Chris, this is Serena."
Serena stared at him for a moment, then shook her head and smiled. "Nice to meet you Chris!" she said cheerily.
"Yeah..." Chris practically sighed. She was even more beautiful up close, absolutely stunning, he thought. Her long hair was a golden blond, and her eyes, oh those large, deep blue pools a person could get lost in.
"Oh shoot, I'm late. So what's new?!" Sere a sighed. "I have to go meet Darien now. It was nice to meet you Chris. Maybe I'll see you here tomorrow or something. See ya!" And with that, she quickly scrambled out the door.
"You can count on it, my princess." Chris said under his breath. And what a princess she was. This was one girl he wanted to get to know.
And to his surprise, he felt an almost overpowering need to get to know this particular girl better.
*********
Over the next couple of weeks Christafer and Serena got to know one
another. They quickly became good friends, but Chris didn't tell
Serena that he wanted to be more. That in the short time that they
had known each other, he had fallen madly, obsessively in love with
her. He also knew that she was with Darien, Andrew's friend, but
that did nothing more than anger him.
****************************
The Present: 3 Weeks Later
"You know Serena, perhaps if you weren't always so late and in such a hurry all the time, you could pay more attention to where you are walking, or in your case, running, you might not be such a klutz!" Luna preached at Serena for the hundredth time.
"Oh Luna, it's not my fault," Serena whined back, "You know how hard it is fighting the nega scum all the time. And then there's school; I can't help the fact that I need my beauty sleep. You don't want an ugly, wrinkled Moon Princess now do you?" Serena turned from her vanity mirror in her room, to look at Luna who was perched on the corner of Serena's bed.
"Some times I wish I could have a vacation, just forget all my responsibilities, and be a normal teen." She grumbled to herself.
"Serena, when are yo..."
"Serena, you're late," Serena's mother called from the kitchen, "as usual!" Luna heard her add.
"Not again!" Serena wailed as she grabbed her books off of the bed, knocking Luna to the floor, and ran out the door.
Luna slowly sat up and shook her head. Why did the Moon Princess turn out to be such a crybaby, lazy klutz, Luna thought with a sigh. I just wish she would pay more attention to being a sailor scout. At least her and Darien are still together!
********************************
Darien walked down the sidewalk, taking the same rout he took every
day. He had only one thing on his mind, the same thing that was
always on his mind, Serena. He knew she would be late for school,
she was every day. He was looking forward to walking her to school
and telling her what he had planned for the evening.
Darien turned the corner and collided with some one, sending them, and all their belongings, flying.
"Hey!" he heard a familiar voice whine, "why don't you watch were you are going you big... Oh never mind! Now I'm really going to be late for class.
Looking down, Darien saw Serena sprawled out on the ground. He froze as he gazed at her; she is so beautiful, he thought, even lying in a heap on the pavement.
"Don't be such a meatball head, Serena, you ran into me!" Darien just couldn't resist using the old nickname he had given to her so long ago.
Serena quickly looked up, eyes wide. Then, as she realized who he was, she glared up at him. "I thought I told you not to call me that! Oh, look at all of my stuff, I'm never going to get to class, and my teacher is going to give me another detention." She growled.
Darien leaned down and offered to help Serena to her feet, but she
pushed his hands away. So, instead, he began to pick up her
scattered papers, glancing at them as he piled them together. One in
particular read:
"Time may take us apart, that's true
But I will always be there for you
You're in my heart
You'll be in my dreams
No matter how many miles between
I promise you that I won't forget
The day we kissed
Or the day we met
The sky my fall
And the stars may too
But I will still love you
Time may take use apart
But I will still love you
I promise!
(Eric Foster White)
Darien looked up at Serena and nearly began to cry. When had she written this? And was it for him, but it had to be! "Where did you get this?" he asked in a shaky voice.
"It was from a song I heard when you were under Queen Beryl's influence, but you were never meant to see that." She stated quietly. With that, she began to blush. But it had been her feelings at the time, and it was still true to this day. Very quickly she looked down.
Darien moved over to her and pulled her into his embrace. "Serena, you know that I will always, always love you. No matter what happens, I will always find a way to you. Our love is forever, I can't even begin to explain to you how much I truly love you!" he said, then leaned in and kissed her passionately, with all his being.
The kiss caused Serena to drop the papers she had picked up, sending them all over the ground once again. She then began to giggle, and Darien ended the kiss. Without saying a word, he bent down to resume picking up her papers.
Suddenly a photo caught his eye. Serena had her back to him, so she wasn't aware of Darien's reaction as he picked up the picture. It was of a man, roughly Darien's age, if not a little older. This man stood tall and regal, with striking white hair, and eyes the color of amethysts. For a moment, he would have sworn he was staring at a picture of Prince Diamond of the Nega Moon Nemasis.
But it couldn't be, the told himself, Prince Diamond was dead, Serena said so. He slowly looked up at Serena, who was gathering the last of her papers. She had to explain the photo, or he would surely go mad.
"Serena, who is this photo of?" he asked as he handed it to her.
"Oh, that's Christafer Diamond, I told you about Chris weeks ago, why do you ask?" she said sweetly.
"Chris, but I thought Chris was a girl!?"
"Of course not Darien, Chris is a good and dear friend of mine. We get along so well, it's almost as if we have met before, but unless he is from the Moon Kingdom, that's not possible." She stated simply.
I wonder if she even sees the resemblance, he wondered. Instead he said, "Does this Chris guy remind you of any one, any one at all?"
"No, why, should he?" she asked, suddenly looking confused.
She doesn't see it, but she wouldn't, the meatball head never did, he thought viciously. He quickly reprimanded himself, he was just being jealous of a photograph no less, and felt silly for it. But something about this Christafer Diamond made him uneasy.
But, perhaps he was being ridiculous, over protective of her, as he often was. It was just the fact that he often feared losing her, and he knew he wouldn't be able to deal with it if that ever happened. And this Christafer guy looked so much like Prince Diamond, the only man to ever come close to taking Serena from him.
"Serena look, I have a really bad feeling about this guy. Doesn't he look, almost exactly, like Prince Diamond?" Darien began, his voice rising with each word. "But even if you hadn't noticed it, I still don't like this guy. You're not to see this Christafer Diamond person again!" he was now yelling. He hadn't meant to, but he was feeling, and who could explain why, fear.
At first Serena just stared at him, a look of utter shock on her face. But her expression quickly turned to a mixture of hurt and anger. How dare he yell at her, and to dictate who her friends could and couldn't be?! How dare he!?!
"So now you're going to tell me who I can be friends with, simply because one of them happens to look a little like and ex enemy, one that's dead, mind you!" Serena said with a calm that was not her. She stared at Darien for a moment, then burst into tears and started sobbing. She grabbed the rest of her belongings and took off, running down to sidewalk.
He could see that she was running blindly along, and Darien suddenly felt a sense of danger, and that it was near by. It was the same feeling he got when Sailor Moon was in trouble, and that unnerved him. Then, just as he looked up, he saw where the danger was.
Totally oblivious to her surroundings, Serena ran unseeing into the street, and strait into the path of an on coming car.
*******************
Who does Darien think he is, telling me who my friends can and can't
be, Serena thought. Just because one of them happens to slightly
resemble Prince Diamond of the Dark Moon Kingdom. It's not like
Chris is Diamond or anything, he's dead; he died protecting me from
the Doom Phantom. Darien's just jealous!
Not bothering to check before hand, Serena ran directly into the street, unaware of the car headed straight for her. God, I know Prince Diamond said he loved me, but he was from the future, and now he's dead. Chris is NOT Prince Diamond! Besides, I enjoy hanging out with Chris, he makes me feel good.
"Serena!" she heard Darien franticly yell her name. She quickly looked up and saw a car in front of her, not more that ten feet away, and screamed as the tiers squealed. @->----

CHAPTER 2
***********
"Oh," blinking her eyes a few times, the blond haired girl slowly looked around. "Where am I, and why does my head feel like someone is sitting on it?" She moaned in pained confusion. She was lying in a hospital bed and her body ache all over. She felt disoriented, lost, and she was very, very confused.
"So, you're awake, you've been asleep for nearly three days now." Said a nurse, who has been marking a chart at the foot of her bed. "I'll go and get the doctor now." She said, as she turned and left.
"My God, I've been asleep for three days?! That can't be good." She grumbled.
"Serena, how are you feeling?" came a voice from the door.
Looking up at the sound of his voice, she saw a doctor walking into the room. A very hansom looking young man followed him. After giving the man a small smile, she looked back at the doctor in confusion.
"Serena? Is that my name?" she asked, looking at the physician expectantly.
"I was afraid this might happen. Yes, your name is Serena, and you were hit by a car. You've been unconscious for nearly three days, and now it appears you have amnesia." He stated. The doctor then proceeded to explain to both Serena and the young man about amnesia.
He said that Serena had lost her memory. Over time she should begin to remember bits and pieces, until she got enough back to break through the 'wall' blocking everything. Once she was able to fit enough pieces together all of her memories would come flooding back.
"Well, I will leave the two of you alone for a while. Perhaps you could start working on remembering?!" the doctor said with a smile to both of them before he left the room.
"So Serena, how are you feeling?" the young man asked.
"Let me see! I ache all over, I've been unconscious for three days, I have no clue who I am or how I got here, and to top it all off, I feel like I haven't eaten in weeks!" She exclaimed. Then, seeing a touch of hurt enter the man's eyes, she apologized.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to take my frustrations out on you. Its just that..." she trailed off and began to cry.
"Serena, please don't cry. I know, would you like something to eat? I'll go down to the cafeteria and get you something, okay?" he paused. When she nodded her head, he continued, "Alright then, and I'll be sure to bring you a slice of chocolate cake!" He smiled brightly at her and left.
A short time later, four girls, about her age walked through the door. The first girl had long blond hair tied back with an orange/gold bow. The second girl was extremely tall and wore her brown hair in a ponytail. A girl with short, blue/black hair followed her. These three were wearing sailor looking school uniforms; the tall girl's uniform was tan, instead of blue like the other two. The last girl had long black hair, but her uniform was gray, indicating that she went to a different school than the others.
"Hey Serena, how ya feelin'?" the girl with the ponytail asked.
"How do you think Lita?!" She was hit by a car!" the black haired girl snapped.
"Ah, lay off her Raye, she was just being polite." The blond said good-naturedly.
"Mina's right Raye. Besides, Serena's doctor did say she has amnesia, and that we should treat her as normal as possible." The shorthaired girl stated quietly.
"Amy's right," the girl called Lita said, "Anyway, Mina, let Luna out why don't ya?"
"Here Serena, I brought you all of your homework. You should try to stay as caught up as possible, until you can come back to school." The quiet girl Amy said as she handed Serena a stack of textbooks.
"Gee thanks, ah, Amy. I can't wait to start it." She replied sarcastically.
The four girls all burst out laughing. "Some things never change!" Mina giggled.
"Do you remember who brought you in after you were hit?" Raye asked Serena.
"Was it any one I am supposed to know?" she asked.
"YES!" Raye nearly yelled. "It was your boyfriend! He was here earlier." Raye explained in agitation. "Poor D..." she said as she turned around and rolled her eyes.
That must have been the cute guy that was with the doctor, Serena thought. I can't wait until he gets back!
Out of Mina's bag came a little black cat with a crescent moon on her forehead. It jumped up on the foot of the bed and looked at Serena.
"Hey, what a pretty black kitty! What's its name, and who does it belong to?" Serena said and reached out to pet the cat now sitting on her lap.
"My name is Luna and I 'belong' to you, Moon Brain!" the cat replied indignantly.
"Wha, what?" Serena stared at the cat. I must have hit my head harder than any one thought. "Ah, I'm kinda tired now. Do you guys think you could come back tomorrow? I'd like to get some sleep now."
"Now that's the Serena we all know and love!" Lita laughed.
They all said their good-byes and quickly left, Mina taking Luna with her. A few minutes later, the young man returned with a tray full of food. Serena was deep in thought.
Now what did that Raye girl say my boyfriend's name was? All I heard was it started with a D. A lot of good that does me! Oh well, I guess I'll just have to ask him, I hope he doesn't get offended.
"Here you are Serena. I brought you some curry chicken, some steamed rice and, of course, a large slice of chocolate cake."
"Oh good, your back!" she smiled up at him as he laid the tray on her lap. "I'm hungry, and..." she trailed off.
"Yes?" he prompted.
"I missed you while you were gone." She said quietly as she began to blush.
"You...You did?" he stammered. He couldn't speak, he could hardly even think. She had missed him and he hadn't been gone more than 20 minutes.
"I hate to sound stupid, but, what is your name?" Serena asked sheepishly.
"You don't sound stupid. My name is Christafer Diamond, most people call me Chris." He thought for a moment before continuing. For some reason it was important that she call him by his last name. And although it sounded strange, it felt right to be called Diamond, at least by Serena. "But you can call me Diamond."
Diamond?! That starts with a D, yes! "Diamond. All right, Diamond... it... is..." She trailed off once more.
She was staring out the door where a tall, dark haired man stood down the hall. In his arms he held a dozen red roses, and he was talking with a nurse.
Diamond ran a hand through his shaggy white hair as he saw what, or rather who, she was looking at. "Ah, I've got to be getting back to work now but I promise I will be back tomorrow. Until then Princess." With that he walked over, kissed her on the cheek and left the room.
Serena sat there, a large smile lighting up her face, when the dark haired man walked in.
"Hey there my Meatball Head!" he said cheerfully, then kissed her on the lips.
"Wha... what do you think you are doing?" she demanded, after having broken off the kiss. "And who are you?" She looked up at him in both confusion and pain. The dull ache in her head was now beginning to pound.
"My sweet Serena, it's me, Darien! I know you have amnesia, the nurse told me. I am so happy you're finally awake. You had me and every one else really worried about you. Now, the nurse said that we should treat you as normal as possible and that my dear, is why I kissed you." Darien explained.
Raye said my boyfriend's name, but I only heard the D. Serena looked over at Darien. The other guy's name is Diamond, she contemplated. Both of their names start with D. Ah, I'm so lost, she thought helplessly.
"Here you are my Princess, your favorite!" Darien handed her the dozen red roses.
For a moment, she just sat there, staring at the flowers. They smelled so sweet but... Her head was pounding so badly that she found it hard to concentrate.
"Thanks," she said, placing the roses on the table next to her bed. "Look, I don't feel all that great right now. I think I'm going to try and get some sleep now, okay?" She looked at him with pain filled, pleading eyes. She wanted to sleep, to escape the pounding in her head, but she didn't know if she wanted him to leave.
"That's fine, I'll just watch over you until you fall asleep then." He said happily.
Serena continued to stare at the tall, dark haired Darien for a moment, glad that he wasn't leaving but also confused by his decision. Shaking her head slightly, then wincing in pain for doing so, she turned onto her side and fell asleep.

CHAPTER 3
***********
"Where am I?" Serena called out through the heavy fog. The fog was thick and damp, and it was hard to see through it. Suddenly images began to flash in front of her face.
The first image was of a woman with pink tinted white hair pulled up into two buns and long ponytails. She was tall and elegant in her pale pink gown and translucent pink wings. There was something vaguely familiar about the beautiful woman, but Serena couldn't figure out who she was. unfortunately, before she could think too hard about the exquisite lady, the image was quickly replaced by another woman.
This one was not as tall or as stately. She wore her brow wavy hair down over her shoulders, and had a loving but firm look in her eyes. Next to her stood a man with glasses and a young boy.
Then another image came. It was of the four girls that had come to visit her earlier. They were all wearing different colored sailor type uniforms, and they were fighting some sort of demon looking creature. She felt that this was normal, part of every day life, but she had no idea why she thought that.
Suddenly, both Diamond and Darien were standing before her. They were arguing with one another, but she couldn't hear what they were saying. Then, to her surprise, they stopped arguing and turned to look at her, Diamond with his odd amethyst eyes, Darien with his stormy, almost tormented blue ones. As she looked on, they both extended one of their hands towards her.
******************
Serena sat up with a start; she looked around the room and began to
cry. So many images had flashed before her eyes, but none of them
had made any sense. She was frustrated and a little bit frightened.
Getting out of the narrow bed, Serena walked over to the window. God, what is happening to me? she wondered as she pulled open the curtains. Instinctively she looked up at the full moon hanging in the clear night sky.
"How lovely!" she sighed. The image of the elegant winged women flashed through her mind. Who is she, and could she help me get my memories back? Serena thought in anguish.
Feeling completely drained of all her energy once again, Serena
climbed back into her small bed and laid back down, still sobbing
silently.
*****************
"Oh my Prince, I'm so happy!" Serena sighed. She was wrapped in the arms of a strong man. She felt warm and safe, and she never wanted to leave.
Serena pulled back slightly and looked down. She was wearing a flowing white satin dress that had gold trim around the top. She then glanced over at the man's attire, he was wearing black armor of some sort. This all seems so familiar, she thought. Slowly working her gaze up his length, she acknowledged that he was well built. But as she reached his face, she gasped in surprised horror for he had no face.
Suddenly everything changed. Serena saw the four girls, Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina all laying, unmoving, on the ground around her feet. In front of her, a few feet away, stood Darien in black armor. Next to him was a tall, strange but familiar looking red haired woman. She had an evil gleam in her eyes that made Serena shudder.
Out of no where, the woman lunged for her, screeching in hatred. She
landed on Serena and they slammed to the floor with a resounding
thud. Rolling around a few times, the woman managed to sit on top of
Serena, pinning her to the floor so that she couldn't move. Darien
walked over to them and handed the woman his sword. With a horrid
shriek of hatred, she raised the sword high above her head.

The reason I sent chapters 2 and 3 at the same time was because
chapter 2 didn't end suspenseful, and chapter 3 is really short.

CHAPTER 4
***********
Serena woke with a scream and shot up in her bed. Looking down at her hands, she saw that she was shaking. Her shirt felt damp and she realized she had broken out in a cold sweat, and her chest was heaving with her labored breathing.
************
"I bet you glad your going home today, Serena." Christafer Diamond said to Serena as helped her pack her few belongings.
"I guess so. I mean, I'm glad to be leaving the hospital, but I don't really know where I'm going... or who the people I'm leaving with are!" she replayed a little flustered.
"Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. I bet once you get home and see all your things, you will start to remember."
"I hope so. Will you come with me? I mean, to help me get settled in and all." Serena looked at Diamond with pleading eyes.
Diamond looked up and into her gold-fringed blue eyes. So beautiful, so familiar, Diamond thought. And, because he couldn't figure out why, other than because he had wanted to since the first time he met her, Diamond reached over, pulled Serena close, and planted his lips on hers.
************
Darien was in a good mood as he walked into the hospital. Serena was headed home to day' the Scouts were going to find a way to get her memory back, and he would be able to spend more time with his love because the Negaverse activity was practically nil at the moment. All was right in Darien's little world. Or it had been until he entered Serena's room.
Darien stopped dead in his tracks. For a moment he just stood there, stunned into complete and total silence. There in front of him was Serena, his Serena, in Christafer Diamond's arms. And as if the wasn't horrible enough for him, they were kissing!
"Serena?" came Darien's barely audible broken whisper.
She jerked out of Diamond's embrace and looked at Darien, as startled expression on her face. "Darien?!"
"What the hell do you think your doing with her?" he growled. "Damn you Christafer Diamond, Serena is mine!!" Darien thundered at Diamond. Darien was seeing red he was so angry. "You will stay away from her, if you value your life!"
Suddenly Serena snapped out of the shocked trance she had slipped into. Stepping in between Darien and Diamond, who looked ready to fight, she looked from one man to the other.
God, what am I to do with these two, she thought worriedly. Darien is hansom and I even feel this want, an almost physical need to be with him, to never be away from him. Yet for some reason I don't want to be anywhere near him, he hurts me some how, I just don't know. He's too controlling, too possessive. On the other hand, Diamond is good looking, gentle and understanding. But I don't feel a connection with him the way I do with Darien. Ahhhhhh, I am so confused, it's hurting my head.
"Serena?" Diamond broke into her thoughts. "Are you alright? I'm sorry, I didn't think..."
"That's right, you didn't think!" Darien angrily cut him off. "Get out of here and leave us alone!" he snapped.
Serena's jaw dropped as she turned to stare at Darien once again.
"Is that what you want Serena? Do you want me to leave?" Diamond asked anxiously.
"YES!"
"NO!" Darien and Serena said at the same time.
"That's it, I've had it with you Darien! If anyone is going to leave, it's you! Diamond has done nothing wrong! Unlike you who have been nothing but a jerk!" Serena yelled at Darien.
He stood there looking at her with a blank look on his face.
"I don't want to see you again. Just stay away from me, and Diamond for that matter." She said to him more calmly. "I wish I had never met you!" she mumbled to herself as she turned back to Diamond.
Her back facing him, Serena didn't see the stricken look on Darien's face. She hadn't realized he had heard what she had mumbled.
Darien's face completely fell as he said, "Serena, I..." He wasn't sure what to say. "I'm sorry." He whispered brokenly. Without another word, he turned and quietly left. He was so quiet, in fact, that Serena didn't realize he had already left, until she turned around.
"Darien, I didn't... mean... it..." she trailed off, seeing that he was no longer there.
"Let it, and him, go Serena." Diamond said as he came up behind her and slipped his arms around her waist. "You're better off without him!"
If I'm so much better off without him, Serena thought, then why do I feel as if I have just ripped out my own heart?!? And then she began to silently shed large tears.
************
Darien slowly walked through the hospital halls in a daze.
Serena hates me? he thought in shock. Serena hates me, she really hates me!! She said she never wants to see me again. My Moon Princess wishes she had never met me! Oh god, what am I going to do?
Stepping outside, a single tear slipped down Darien's cheek. He was so heart broken that it was even too much of an effort for him to even cry. He was so deep in his sorrow that Darien didn't bother to look before he walked into on coming traffic.

Since I heard your laugh, since I felt your pain
I have always loved you, there's never been any one else
I knew you before I knew myself
Oh my baby I have always loved you
Since we kissed the first time, since we slept on the beach
You were too close for comfort, you were too far out of reach
You walked away, I should have held you
Would you have stayed for me to tell you?
Years go by in a matter of days
And though we go our separate ways
I have never stopped dreaming of you
I have always loved you
And when you call it makes me cry
We never made time for you and I

CHAPTER 5
***********
Darien was just stepping off of the curb when he heard some one call his name.
“Darien?” came a familiar masculine voice.
Turning to confirm his thoughts, Darien stepped back onto the curb just as a car flew past, inches from where Darien was.
“Hello Sir.” Darien said to Serena’s father. “How are you today?”
“Quite all right now that my little princess is coming home!” He beamed at Darien.
“Yes Sir. Well, I really must be on my way. Good-bye.” Darien said as he turned to walk away.
“Will you be stopping by for dinner Darien?” Serena’s mother asked quietly.
“I don’t think so ma’am. Thank you any way.” Darien said over his slumped shoulders.
“Poor boy, Serena and him must have had a lover’s quarrel.” She commented sympathetically.
“What??? Lovers…”
***********
Darien sat on his bed string at a framed picture of Serena and himself. Tear stains streaked his cheeks as he sat thinking about Serena and all of their time together.
I shouldn’t have been so hard on her, he thought. She’s so young and still learning about the world. It’s difficult to deal with school, family, being a super hero, and a princess. She doesn’t need a pushy, bossy boyfriend nagging on her all the time. Perhaps this is for the best…
“Good-bye Serena, my beautiful Moon Princess.” Came his anguished whisper.
With that, Darien threw himself face down on the bed and cried himself to sleep.
***********
“So this is my bedroom?! Boy I must have really liked pink, bunny rabbits, and the moon.” Serena said as she walked around the girly room. She ran her hands along the dressers, over the mirror, and to the bedside stand. Her hand stopped on a picture frame, and she picked it up.
“Darien?” she whispered. The picture was of her and Darien, and they both looked happy.
“I don’t understand. It looked as if we were so happy together. If that’s true, then why so I resent him? Heck, I don’t know him; I don’t even know myself! Goddess this is so frustrating!”
Still clutching the picture, Serena sat down on the bed and just stared into space.
***********
“Serena has to have her memory back, we need Sailor Moon!” Raye stated in annoyance.
“Yes, but how are we going to accomplish this?” Amy asked logically.
“Hey Luna, how about your ‘Luna Mind Meld’ thingy? Isn’t that how you brought the rest of us back?” Lita looked at Luna, who was sitting nest to Artemis.
“Yea Luna, that would do the trick, and everything would be back to normal!” Mina chimed in.
“I’d like to, but it wouldn’t work I’m afraid.” Luna calmly stated.
“And WHY not?” Raye fairly yelled.
“Because,” Luna glared at Raye, “Serena’s amnesia is not the same as what you guys first had. In a way, hers is self-induced,”
“Figures!” Raye grumbled, interrupting Luna’s explanation.
“By this I mean what Serena is experiencing is a memory block, a wall holding everything in. It’s not the same as your Scout conscience being ended, and then being hidden, sort of tucked away until it was needed.”
The four girls looked questioningly at Luna, hoping for more of an explanation.
“What Luna is trying to say,” Artemis joined in, “ is that the Luna Mind Meld wouldn’t do any good on Serena. Haven’t you girls ever wondered why, after the fight with Queen Beryl, you had no memory of it, or each other?” he looked from Mina to Raye to Lita, and came to rest on Amy.
“Well,” Amy said sheepishly, “I had thought about it. We were all killed, and that should have been out end, but it wasn’t.”
Luna smiled faintly at the group. “That’s because it was your Scout selves that were attacked. But because your other selves, the way you are now, still remained untouched, your Scout conscience’s were brought back.” she paused to let everything she was saying set in a moment.
Luna then continued on, “This was possible because of the magic Queen Serenity used to send you all here to the future. After you all died as Scouts, she sent you here to lead normal lives.”
“So, we were leading those lives until Queen Beryl came along, and awakened our Scout consciences.” Amy said. “But once there was no need for the Sailor Scouts, and we were basically killed, that part of us went into a state of dormancy, a kind of deep sleep. And the Luna Mind Meld is what triggered it to reawaken!” she stated triumphantly.
“Exactly!” Luna and Artemis said together.
“So, basically what you’re saying is no Sailor Moon!” Raye declared.
“We’re screwed.” Said Lita.
“Yup.” Mina replied.

The Past: Silver Millennium
***********
"Queen Metallia, you have to help me. I know you dilike the Moon Kingdom and it's Silver Millennium." Prince Diamond said to the shadow like creature of the negaverce. "I can now understand your hatered. You can do as you like to the Moon Kingdom and it's queen, I will even aid you in any way I can. But I must have your assistance in one thing. I want the Princess Serenity for my own!"
"And what makes you think that I, the great Queen Metallia, would need your help? I am stronger than you will ever be you pewny mortal." She hissed at Diamond.
"That may be true, but you are trapped here, on this rechid moon, with no real hope of ever escaping. I can get you out, find people of the earth to help you in your quest to distroy the Silver Millennium, and any aid I can give. All I ask for in return is the Princess. She is mine, she belongs to me, and no one and no thing will keep me from what is mine!" The Prince stated calmly.
"All right then, you can proove yourself to me by letting me out of this horrid prison that Moon Crystle witch put me in!" she replied.
***********
"Beryl, you can have that pompis Prince Endymion (Darien), just make sure I get the Princess Serenity alive. You can do as you please with the rest of them, kill them all for all I care." Prince Diamond told the young Beryl.
"As you wish my lord. And thank you for the Prince." Beryl thanked him.
"Just be sure Metallia holds up her end of the bargon, and every one will be happy."
"Soon my Princess, we will be together as we were ment to be!" Diamond whispered joyfully to himself.
***********
"What do you mean the Princess is dead?" Prince Diamond yelled at the messanger. "My beautiful Serenity can't possibly be dead. How did this happen, and where is that worthless Beryl? If she is the one who killed my Princess, she will lose her life."
"If it pleases you your grace, all lives where lost, including Beryl and Queen Metallia. Queen Serenity used the Silver Imperium Crystle and sent then all to the future." the messanger quietly reported.
"Then that is where I shall go too. Father has all those magic books, I am sure one of them can tell me how to get to where my Princess is. And then we will be together, she will be mine forever. No one will stop me or stand in my way!" Diamond laughed out loud.

The Past: Silver Millennium
10 year old Prince Christoph Diamondo of the moon Sectia, of the Neblyus galaxy, stared at the sleeping infant in her cradle. She had a mess of blond curls atop her small head, and her thought that her eyes would be blue, just like her mother's.
"You mean I have to marry her?" young Diamond, as he was often called, asked flatly. "But she's just a baby."
"You won't be marrying her until she comes of age. She was only born a few days ago, and is still very new to the world." Queen Serenity spoke softly to the young prince. This is the prince that my husband chose for our Princess Serenity before he died, the queen thought to herself. And, at the time, she had agreed with him.
He was a hansom boy, with his shaggy white hair and his peculiar, but most striking amethyst eyes. He stood very proudly next to the infant princess' cradle, and yet the queen still had some reservations about the whole thing. Unfortunately, there was little more she could do than what she has already asked of the prince's family. Princess Serenity would only see Prince Diamond at social events. This would give her a chance to get to know him without any pressure.
Just then, baby Serenity, called Serena to cause less confusion, opened her large eyes and looked directly at Prince Diamond. He looked deep into golden lash fringed blue eyes and fell instantly under her spell.
Smiling to himself, Diamond knew that this princess was what he wanted, and she was his.

Silver Millennium: 14 years later
"What do you mean Princess Serenity has fallen in love with a prince from Earth?!" 24 year old Prince Diamond roared. "She was promised to me by Queen Serenity herself!"
Diamond stood in the middle of his private chamber, shoulders heaving. His hair, overly long and somewhat shaggy as always, fell just past his ears, his odd amethyst eyes practically sparking with his anger. As usual, he was dressed in his white shirt with his family's design, in blue instead of black, white slacks, and his ever-present cape.
"Leave me! I want to be a lone." He commanded. Once everyone had left, he began to pace the length of the room.
Serena was promised to me, dam it! I stayed away from her, seeing her only as the social events and balls. I didn't push her for anything more than her friendship, just as Queen Serenity asked, and this is how I am repaid!?! Diamond thought.
"Princess Serenity is mine!" he yelled. "And one way or another," Diamond growled, "I always get what I want!"
