1Charlesworth reads the first letter as y, but the distinctive curvature at the top, as well as the hook on the top left that distinguishes r, appear to be very clear in the photo. Nevertheless, both readings are questionable. Return
2Charlesworth reads the first letter as b without a footnote. However, in the photo it appears that the letter has been corrected to m. It is possible that the correction has gone the other way though, i.e. m -->b. Without examining the actual document it is not possible to tell. Return
3Charlesworth reads this as two words, Mwt d(. There is no break between the words in the manuscript, and in this document waw and yod are consistently written identically. Hence, it is difficult to tell which reading is correct. However, the same sequence appears in line 23 without a word break. This repetition leads me to believe that the scribe intended it to be one word. I admit, though, that the question is an open one. Return
