Before me the undersigned Nortary Public duly admitted and sworn
in and for that part of the Dominion of Canada, now constituing the Province
of Quebec, residing in th parish of St. Ferdinand d'Halifax, in the District of
Arthabaska.

  Was present and appeard Mr. Bartholomew Brown,
farmer of the Township of Ireland,
said district,


who has by these presents, given by the title of deed of Gift inter vivs, pure,
simple and irrevocable, in the best way and manner that such gift can be made,
with promise of warranty against all troubles whatsoever, unto Mr. Char-
les Brown, his son, farmer of the same place,


to this present and accepting donatee for himself, his heirs and assigns, that is
to say : 1o(1) The just north west half of the lot of 
land number four in the fifth range of the
said Township of Ireland, being now the lot num-
ber two hundred and sixty eight of the official
jester and book of reference of the said Township of
Ireland, containing about one hundred acres in super-
????, circumstances and dependances, 2o All his 
house hold furnature, land implements, vehicles
cattle and in general all and every movable things
and effetc reputed to be moveable now belonging
to the said donator, excepted his ready made money ?
his cloths & clothes, his bed and bedings, with all
which the said donate delares himself to be satis-
fied, being already in possession of the same

  As the whole is now and the daid land is belonging to the said donator
by his virtue of good and valid title
deed with which he obliges himself
to help the said donatee on demand,
Subject by the said donatee to conform himself to the titles concerning the
said immoveable property and to pay for the past and future all municipal and
other taxes concerning the said land.
  Subject by the said donatee to provide
his brothers and 
sister named
Laverne, Katie and
Grant until they will 
be twenty one years
old
with proper and confortable lodging, feeding, washing, warming,
lighting, clothing and entertaining in his own residence,

during that space of time and in
all to take a good care of them as a bro-
ther ought to do for his brothers and
sister,

And for securing the fulfilment of all 
the charges and obligations herein mentioned in favor of the said*donator the said
donatee has affected, engaged and mortgaged in favor of the said*?????? the 
land hereabove described and given, on which the said donator, has, with the
consent of the said donatee, preserved his rights and privilege of Bailleur
de fonds. And the said donator doth hereby divest himself to and in
favor of the said donatee of all his rights of property and other rights what-
soever in and upon the said property and put and subrogate him in all his lieu
and stead to that effect.  For thus &c.

DONE AND PASSED in the said parish of St. Ferdinand d'Halifax, in the
office of the undersigned Notary, on the day and year above written, under
the number six thousand four hudred and
withteen And the said parties have signed their names with me said notary
after only reading made according to law,
