2007 Shades of Blue Fundraising Awards Dinner
The 2007 Shades of Blue Awards Dinner was a historical Event! There were two
Tuskeegee Airmen present. We were also honored to be able to meet Ed White - the
first black astronaut, Mrs. McNair - widow of the late Ronald McNair of Challenger Shuttle
, Guion S. Bluford, Jr. - the first black astronaut in space, Charles F. Bolden, JR.
- who like Bluford had the privilege of being part of the few to go into space four times,
and Barrington Irving who recently became the youngest man to fly so aournd the world and
the first black to fly solo around the world. Math Pioneers participants were in awe
during this evening.
Happy to be here!
Standing with the Greats!
